Verdict

MISSION TAICHI (7) looks nicely placed off a very encouraging debut at Bendigo over 1m, getting a long way back but really picking up well late to grab second. Expecting that form to hold up and the rise in trip will suit much better against some fairly exposed types. Huge chance. BAROSSA VALLEY (2) missed the start badly at Ballarat Synthetic last time when backed into $1.85 but ultimately just held his ground late. Perhaps back onto turf can suit. ALL THE MOVES (1) has been solid in two runs back and looks ready to peak up in trip. KING'S ANCHOR (5) will find this much easier than the Mahogany Final at Flemington last time. The form prior was solid having beaten home Barossa Valley, just wonder if he's had enough for this campaign. KOVU (6) was better last time and has minor claims.

At debut, came home strongly from last on the turn, 2nd of 8 at Bendigo Mdn-Sw on July 5 over 1m, in the wet, 2 len behind Jenni Poppins with 131lbs at $5.50. Better for that and is very hard to hold out.
