SAHARA SPLASH (11) scored first-up over 6 ¼f at Taree then might have stepped up to 7 ½f too quickly when she tired late in a BM58 at Goulburn. Draws a handy gate and Dalton's claim brings her in nicely. Expecting a peak run at the third start of the prep. OENOLOGY (1) raced on the speed and didn't shirk his task when third last time out in a far stronger race over 1m at this track. In the money at six of seven runs over 7f, and four of five at Tamworth. Big chance on the back of stats like that. MISS DEE REIGN (10) was game in defeat two back at Scone then floundered in heavy going at Taree more recently. Lightly raced filly who is in the right race to make an immediate return to form. FREEDOM TO ROAM (12) has been about the money of late in easier races than this. In the mix with just 55 kg. IMPERIAL STATE (5) closed well over 6f here last time when fresh from a one-month let-up. Nicely placed out to this journey with that run under the belt.
