AU - Tamworth - Race 2

BIG LON (8) raced handy and was in for the fight but went under in a photo over this course and distance last start. That run followed a 15-week spell so he strips a lot fitter today. In a thin form race he won't get a better chance to break through. STACCATO (7) closed well but found a couple better at this track and trip a fortnight ago. Has less upside than Big Lon and will need to lift to get the better of that rival but on exposed form she is the only genuine threat. PURE ECSTASY (11) is a Yes Yes Yes filly on debut for the Todd Howlett stable. Not far off the winner in a recent Scone trial. The dam has produced seven individual winners, with two of them multiple stakes placegetters. Should give a good account. Headwater debutant QUICK DIP (10) won a recent Scone trial and looks set for a positive start to his career. Long gap to the next best PARISSIDENT (6) who is getting beaten in much easier maidens.
