Most of the chances run on so might come down to who has the best dash. BONEWOOD (7) was a big winner here when landing the maiden fresh then ran on hard to place last time at Rockhampton. Has further upside and looks hard to hold out. MIND OVER MATTER (1) is the benchmark having won the last four runs. Leading rider sticks and although creeping up in the weights will be winding up strongly again. LUCKY LASS (2) was a winner here two back then placed last time here in 3yo open class. Great record at home and drawn to run well. THE KOBAY TRAIN (5) is coming off a strong placing in the far richer Northern Jewel, which has also proven a top form race already. Rarely far away over this course and distance and is not to be underestimated. ASPEN COWBOY (3) drops in weight and is a solid top-three hope.
